How It Works

 Catfish Canoe Company's River Trips are Self-Guided...

        ...That means we provide you with everything you need to have great family adventures on the scenic Colorado and Gunnison Rivers - including optional shuttle service to and from the river - then you're free to enjoy your river trip at your own pace!          

 We provide:

• Watercraft -  Rafts, Canoes, Kayaks, & Tubes in any combination

• Paddles & Lifejackets

• Detailed River Maps

• Dry Bags (as available)

• Basic Paddling Instruction

 What you need to bring:

• River Shoes (tennis shoes will work)

• Hats and Sunscreen

• Food & Water

• Eyeglass leashes

• Waterproof Bag

• Change of Clothes

• Bug Spray

You're welcome to transport your own rental watercraft.  If it's more convenient for you, we can provide shuttle service to and from the river.  Click HERE for Shuttle Fees.  And there's plenty of free parking at Catfish Canoe HQ!

How long are the River Trips?

Trip lengths vary from a couple of hours to a couple of days!  We have a great choice of trips for everyone, whether you're experienced "River Rats" or not.  Click Trips & Maps for details.
 

Do we need reservations?

While walk-ins are welcome, reservations are recommended.  Minimum age for participation is 5 years old.  For the safety of your children, please - no exceptions.

Safety

     Our intent is to insure that our customers have a safe, rewarding experience.  However, floating rivers is not entirely without risk.  River accidents, injuries, and drowning can occur.  Therefore, all participants are required to sign our Acknowledgement of Risk/Release Form, and all children under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian signature on this form.  Click HERE for a printable copy of this form.
